Eddie McGriff is a native of Cullman County, Alabama and graduated from Auburn University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Agricultural Sciences. He worked for thirty years as a University of Georgia Extension agent in Calhoun, Decatur, and Coffee Counties, three of the largest agricultural counties in the state. He then worked for four years as a multi-state agronomist for Southern States Cooperative. Since February 2016 he has been an Alabama Extension Regional Agent for agronomic crops in Northeast Alabama.
He hosts the YouTube program On The Farm in Alabama, where he interviews Extension specialists and farmers to update growers and agribusiness.
